SubTrack Privacy Policy

Summary

SubTrack helps you track digital subscriptions, renewal dates, and spending. We collect only what is needed to provide the service. You can use the app without connecting Gmail. Optional analytics can be turned off in Settings; crash reporting remains enabled to fix bugs.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Subscription entries: service names, prices, billing cycles, renewal dates, categories, notes, and status you enter manually.
• Account information (optional): if sign-in is enabled, email address and profile preferences (e.g. preferred currency, reminder settings) stored via Supabase.
• Support requests: information you send when contacting support.

Gmail import (optional)

If you choose Connect Gmail, we (via our Supabase Edge Functions) access your Gmail account to scan for subscription-related emails and suggest entries for your review.

We may process:

• Connected email address
• OAuth tokens required to maintain the connection
• Email metadata and message content relevant to detecting subscriptions (e.g. sender, subject, receipt amounts, renewal dates)

Nothing is added to your subscription list until you accept a suggestion.

You can disconnect Gmail at any time in the app.

Purchases

Google Play processes lifetime Pro purchases.

RevenueCat receives purchase tokens and entitlement status to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your full payment card details.

Automatically collected data

• Analytics (optional, user-controlled): screen views and feature usage via PostHog and Firebase Analytics when enabled in Settings.
• Crash and diagnostics: crash logs and error reports via Firebase Crashlytics to improve stability (not disabled by the analytics toggle).
• Device/app info: OS version, app version, device model (typical for analytics and crash tools).

Local data

Renewal reminder schedules and notification preferences may be stored on your device.

How we use information

• Provide subscription tracking, dashboards, and renewal reminders
• Scan email (only if you connect Gmail) to suggest subscriptions
• Process and verify Pro purchases
• Improve app reliability and fix crashes
• Respond to support requests
• Understand product usage when analytics is enabled

We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Depending on your region, we rely on:

• Contract: providing the SubTrack service you request
• Consent: optional analytics; Gmail connection
• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, crash fixing

Providers process data under their own privacy policies and our instructions where applicable.

Data retention

• Subscription and profile data: retained while your account/data exists or until you delete it
• Gmail connection tokens: removed when you disconnect Gmail
• Analytics: per provider default retention settings
• Crash logs: per Firebase Crashlytics retention settings

Your choices and rights

• Analytics: toggle off in Settings → Privacy
• Gmail: disconnect in Import from email
• Delete data: contact [haniyashafiq2005@gmail.com] to request deletion of account-linked data
• Access/correction: contact support for copies or corrections where applicable by law

Security

We use HTTPS for network communication. Secrets (API keys) are not embedded in source code; production keys are configured at build time. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

SubTrack is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (e.g. United States). We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will post the new version at the same URL and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in-app or via store listing updates.
